Getting the Right Hair Color for Your Skin Tone
Admin November 29 2019
Hair color and be a tricky beast. So many of us aren’t happy with our natural color and opt for dyes to get the shade we really want, but color-treated hair can go incredibly bad if you pick the wrong tone. Nothing is worse than realizing your freshly colored hair is at odds with your skin tone. If that’s the case, unless you tuck your hair under hat not to see the light of day again or ready to go back to the colorist, there isn’t much you can do to turn the situation around.
Cool Skin Tones
Cool tones carry pinkish undertones and look best when matched to cooler colors If your skin tone is cooler it’s a good idea to try an ash color, whether blonde or brown, though platinum is also popular. Though you can play around with warm hues like golden blonde and certain reds.
Warm Skin Tones
Embrace the warmth from your skin tone to your hair color. When your skin has more yellow overtones and is on the more side, shades such as honey blonde or rose gold are a good bet for a beautiful color.
The vast spectrum of colors can be intimidating when you’re considering a new hue, but make sure your hair complements your skin tone. Cool and warm tones affect your hair in interesting ways so go back to the basics when it comes to picking your next color.
